"…it was an honor to be considered part of such an important conversation at a time when I had so much to say, but very little idea of how to say it. As I discussed with Ben and then explored in my own work, that conversation is the only way that we as a nation will be able to move forward."

"Being born and raised, and still living in Puerto Rico, the only trips I took to NYC were through the lenses of television programs and movies. I had a lot in my head of what it would be like. In February 2018, I was able to lay all of my dreams to rest and enjoy the real experience of New York City. It was wonderful. As writers, the pen is our weapon and with it we can bring the message of strength, unity and bravery— which is exactly what the Bluestone Project wants us to see. What better way to unite a divided nation, than by using a tool that is at hand to everybody: our words."

"Being a part of the inaugural year of The Bluestone project was a privilege beyond measure. Artistic Director, Ben Bartolone, understands what it takes to bring a new play to life and has made room in his company for that process. This isn't a company who revolves around deadlines and meeting preset artistic and business goals, but one who allows the writer the time and space they need for their play to develop at its own pace. We need more companies like The Bluestone Project, who are committed to new play as a process, rather than a product."
